Delivered From Darkness

You chose darkness for your life
The lies of Satan were deeply rooted into your heart
Slicing and stabbing you with his knife
Crippling you to even want a new start

God approached you that night and said “I Love you!”
Forcing His way deep into your pains
For your Life, darkness was all that you knew
Trapped in bondage by the Devil’s chains

I love you and I paid the price
This Jesus whispered in your ear
He chose to be your Sacrifice
So you will no longer live in fear

Now you have chosen to be free
No longer will you be oppressed
Satan’s strongholds on your life must bow and flee
In Jesus’ eyes you are a daughter or a son who is blessed

Satan will continue to attack to make you fall
Trust in your new heart and allow your sinful nature to die
Pray dangerously and accept your call
You, My Beloved, are a Priest of the Most High

Why we Run!

This life carries so many distractions.  We have our families, our work, our friends, our thoughts, our worries, our lives.  We go through everyday searching for something to fill the emptiness.  We have success when we try and sometimes failure. We win championships, we get a raise, we start a family, we start a business, we lose a loved one, get fired, get sick, go bankrupt, lose our house. All of these things keep us going and they allow us to fall into routines.  These are things we have done our whole life, from how we wake up in the morning to the position we like to fall asleep in at night.  However, there is something that pushes us to run when it comes to Christ.  You can be a believer or a non-believer and these same things are there.  They consists of fear, failure, discouragement, worthlessness, etc.  These things, my friends, are lies and we must somehow allow God’s love to cover us.  We must let people help us when we are in need, we must learn to swallow our pride when times are tough, and we especially need to understand that life is hard, but Christ has placed people in your lives to comfort you and love you.  My favorite moments in my life are the times I spend with my friends, the times we can laugh and joke with each other and the times we can argue and then squash it.  My friends have helped heal my heart and Christ has shown me that I can trust people.  Willing to get hurt is part of the deal, but if you run from that you will never experience life how Christ tells us in John 10:10 ( Abundantly).  I heard an awesome sermon this past weekend and I will no longer allow those lies  to keep me from doing God’s work. Friends,  I refuse to miss out on the impact God will and has made in the lives of my friends and people around me.  Much Love!  Selah!

Relationship Not Rules!

Why is it that so many people say churches are filled with hypocrites?  Is it because people of the church say don’t do this or that and then when you look on Friday night they are doing the same this or that.  Yes, but I am here to let you know we are all broken and church is just another place filled with broken people.  Our lives are not centered on Christ to point fingers.  Our lives are centered on Him so that we can love.  Love is a strong word but it is not taught well in these times, by the world and much less by the church.  There is discipline in love, there is strength in love.  As Christians we do not tolerate when someone lives wrong, we pray for them and if they allow us we pray with them. Our relationships are what help mold our hearts for God.  As Priests of the Most High our love is not based on what we get in return, we have more than enough from Jesus.  Our aim is to reach out to those who feel like they have no one or that there is no God.  So many Christians doubt the trueness Of Christ because life is tough.  Times will be hard and will get harder. However, this is not where we finish nor is it where we become complete. God promises us paradise, something we cannot even imagine.  Relational ministry is what Jesus is about. It means reaching out to those who are lost, but even more so reaching out to our brothers and sisters in Christ who do not realize they are still bound even though they are “saved.”  The book of Romans was written by Paul to believers about being slaves to sin, because this world and Satan cannot contend with Priests who are obedient to the Word of God.  I pray that those of you who read this and are saved, will desire more than a statement of faith, rather you would want to take up your cross so people can see that your Refuge and Fortress are built into the Rock!(Christ), and not sand! Amen and Amen!
