Rise, My Beloved!

When we feel like life has knocked us out
Like there is nowhere to run or no one to lend a hand
Our thoughts of life stay filled with doubt
Roaming through our own personal wasteland

God our Father watches with unease
Knowing His love is for all and not some
His request to us is Come, my child please
Rise, My Beloved from Satan’s slum

This life is not where we will finish
You’re worth more than pure gold
Don’t wait on good luck and wishes
For that is unhealthy, as if you were breathing in mold

Rise, My Beloved from Satan’s slum
Allow your heart to feel My embrace
All of your brokenness I will overcome
Oh, to see the Freedom and joy in your face

You were created by me, The Great I AM
As elegantly as I created the stars
Your are protected, My Beloved, by the Blood of the Lamb
This is a promise from Jesus through his eternal scars

Who I am in Christ!

I am broken and abused
In my eyes, this life has not been fair
God’s love has me confused
Knowing myself, Why would He care?

Yet something burns from deep within
To pursue those who are lost
That they may receive freedom from their sin
Giving their life to Christ is the cost

Jesus is the soul behind my eyes
This is my choice in who I am
His grace for me He never denies
I am Holy and Blameless by the Blood of the lamb

In my weakness He is there
Oh, what a reason to rejoice
By His scars I know that He does care
Longing to hear His beloved’s voice

It’s a New Day

It is amazing the feeling you get when you realize your life is not about you.  I attended a retirement party for one of my old coaches.  A man who influenced my life greatly. I knew I wanted to say something about him and his family.  When the floor was open, I did something that I have never done.  I walked up to speak about what God had done in my life through him and the awesomeness I saw God do in their lives.  The special part about tonight is that I know I am ready to live for Christ.  I know that I am no longer a slave to sin, but a disciple of the Most High.  As I write this my request to you is allow God to love you and just Let go and Let God!  He knows what’s best for each of us, and he will fulfill his promise to us as long as we let him.  Be at peace and know your past is not who you are, but rather you are molded like clay moment by moment. SELAH!
