Jesus In Everyone

Where does your day begin?
In a bed or on a bench
We are all crippled by sin
And carry a worldly stench

We walk by our siblings day after day
Our second looks are rarely in admiration
We walk alone as if we are a castaway
Just passing by all of his beautiful creations

Jesus is inside of everyone
Young, Old, Rich, and Poor
He can Never be outdone
He resides at our hearts core

Please! Look past how I am dressed
Or even that I am completely different than you
Jesus suffered for me so I am blessed
I promise I am someone you wish you knew

Jesus looked into a person’s soul
This gift is in all who follow Christ
This, My Friends, should be our ultimate goal
For Jesus paid with his life the ultimate price

Jesus in Everyone
What does this mean?
Well that God’s almighty and loving son
Died so we could all be made clean

Love all those who come in your path
Pray even for the ones who curse you
People who do not fear will feel his wrath
Forgive them for they do not have a clue

Open your eyes to all who are in need
Know in your heart God’s will be done
Even a whisper of his name and you plant a seed
Remember, Jesus in Everyone!

Lotto!

Can I tell you that I have had a lotto plan in place for a few years now.  One of the favorite things for me a few of my friends to do is talk about what we would do with all that wealth.  It wasn’t to long after that I realized we have all won the Lottery.. The Spiritual one that is.  God went ahead and decided to pick the numbers for us which was one.  The Christ Jesus was our Lotto Ticket.  His sacrifice provided us with the Ultimate wealth.  Eternal Life.  We have a choice to enjoy this life to the full. It doesn’t mean we wont be disappointed, hurt, let down, or stabbed in the back, but you know we will also be loved, trusted, and cared for.  There is always a balance in life when you have Jesus.  That’s where our winning number comes in.  When the Evil one tries to unload burden upon burden on you, Jesus says NO!  He carries us and walks next to us.  He provided us with access to all the angels and to the Holy Spirit.  The awesome thing about the wealth that we have won in Christ, it is forever abundant and it never ends.  The more you want the more and more He will provide.  I am glad God took a chance on us and gave us free will.  It is so much more beautiful to choose Christ because you want to and not because you have too!  Thank you for this life and for choosing to take the risk and have faith that we would choose you, Lord… Selah!

Friends

I am starting to appreciate what it means to have a  friend.  We call so many people in our lives this word, but I think we miss the mark of what true friendship is.  I can’t believe the opportunities that have passed me by in my life because I was not willing to be hurt.  You see what I have learned is that trusting someone means you are willing to allow that person to hurt you.  Now, I know this may seem weird that I am talking about awesome friendships by how you have to allow someone the opportunity to hurt you, but I think that’s what makes it awesome.  For so many years, I would allow people to give me all of their trust and then I would try and control how much of my trust I would give them.  There have been many times in my past that my friendships were manipulated by me.  I can say today that I no longer do that with my friendships.  I have learned to give my friends my complete trust and know that they do have the ability to hurt me and the fact that they don’t means a lot.  It is so nice to see how many people care about what is going in my life and that I care about what is going on in theirs.  I am thankful for those in my life as you should be for those in yours.. Have a Blessed holiday time and know that Christ is Forever.. Selah!
