My refuge, my fortress

God’s promise to watch over us and protect us is so clear in scripture. Once you break it down you get a slight glimpse of the greatness he has to offer us. It is so comforting to know that once we are in his refuge, in the safety of his embrace, there is nothing, no man or no spirit that can influence Jesus to ever let us go.  The fortress he creates is not just a military stronghold that is invincible, but Jesus himself is the fortress by which we are protected.  No matter how heavy our burdens or how dark our past, he lifts them off and by his Grace we are healed.  In his presence we must  rejoice because all of the old is dead and we are created new.  Live in the Truth of Christ as your refuge and fortress in ALLyou do.  Most importantly do not allow the lies of this world, the evil one and your flesh ever deceive you into believing your not worth it.  In Jesus eyes you were worth his life which is without a doubt the most precious life ever…

We are His glorious things

It is awe inspiring to see how God works his ways in peoples lives.  We can be on such a path of destruction and when we stop and look back, we can clearly see where God chose to intervene.  He gives us moments and opportunities to learn and hear about him, but not just about him, but about how much he loves us.  I just met with a long time friend and hearing his story and what God has been doing is amazing.  Our one true and mighty God is chasing after my friend, he doesn’t want him to hurt anymore, he wants him to feel the Grace that Christ and only Christ can offer.  Our glory and every breathe belong to our Lord, and it is in that creation that God says you are my Beloved and I know the count of every hair on your head and every cell in your body.  I made your laugh, your cry, your heart and your desire to desire more of me.  In being his glorious things, we get a chance to live our life knowing that we will never be alone, even when its so dark around us and we feel numb, God is there and once we choose to stop listening to the lies, we will come to realize that the bumps in the road and simply that.  Things in the way of receiving the full true Love of Jesus and all he has to offer.  The price he paid is a debt we will never have to repay, by his Stripes we are Healed, Saved, Loved, Adored, and Glorified.  All for His Glory.. Amen and Amen!

Sing to the lord

I had the opportunity to teach about worshipping God.  What was so awesome in spending time with Jesus about this was all the amazing wisdom he laid upon me.  Everything we do can represent worshipping him.  If we chose to do everything for his Glory, it will always be worship.  Life has its twists and turns and we for sure will never be sinless on this Earth, but we sure can sin less.  I have chosen from here on out to sing every song to God as a love song as an expression of my one true love in Jesus.  When I write, including all my devoetry, I will consider them love letters to my one true King.  He is always with us and he states it over and over again in the Bible.  Scripture is true and whether it is literal or allegorical it is God’s word.  I do believe there are many Christians who dig too deeply into scripture sometimes, but ultimately Jesus say I love you so follow me and I will never let you go.  We have to learn, with the Holy Spirit as our teacher, how to humble ourselves in worshipping him.  He calls for us throughout scripture to have the heart and desires of little children when we come before him, and that is because we are his children.  In essence, we all become like little Christs with Jesus with us and the Holy Spirit in us, molding us into the men and women of God he has called for us to be in His image.  Our communication with God through prayer is another awesome way to worship him.  We don’t always have to ask for something when we pray, but we can fall to our knees and praise him for being all that he is for us Father, King, Friend, Redeemer, Counselor.  We all know that list goes on and on, however, we can also worship him through prayer by realizing we are his Beloved.  We are dear to his heart and everything he does for us is out of his Love for us.  As life throws all it can at us, and the evil one designs his attacks against us, Jesus says draw near to me and I will be your Refuge and your Fortress, Your one True God who you can always trust.  Selah!
