Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We have a chance in our lives here on Earth to let God totally consume us.  We simply must surrender and ask him to baptize us in the Holy Spirit.  With this comes power, the power to heal, love and show mercy and grace.  The Holy Spirit provides for us when we do not know how to provide for ourselves or for our loved ones.  When we submit to Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to reign we feel and think about certain people at all different times of the day.  The Holy Spirit knows when someone needs prayer, a conversation and sometimes just a hug.  Our lives become so hectic that we get lost in our own busyness.  God tells us over and over again to slow down and see his creation.  The time and precision he took to create us and everything in this World is the same type of effort he wants to see of us for each of our brothers and sisters.  When you pray ask Jesus to Baptize you in the Holy Spirit or ask your pastor to pray that for you.  You will begin to see differently and think differently about every situation in your life.  God brings us to a point in our lives where knowledge is no longer enough, we have to choose to apply the knowledge to how we live so that it can become wisdom.  We cannot become wise in God’s way of thinking if we don’t walk the walk.  The power that comes from the Holy Spirit gives us discernment and comfort and allows us to know what God thinks of the situations we are in and the people that are in our lives.  I love that we have the ability to do amazing things in Christ through us and that we must give him all the glory.  He is worth living for and he is definitely worth dying for.  Now I am not calling myself or you to be a martyr but I am saying we must learn to die to our old self, the selfish, manipulative, narcissistic sinful nature self and keep our eyes focused on Jesus.  This way when the old comes knocking we know not to open that door, because the Holy Spirit within us gives us the wisdom to know we are WORTH more to Jesus… Amen!

My Heart

This is a great time of year even with all the heaviness of loss.  There is something about trusting Christ, finally truly trusting him.  He has met me at my sadness and in my time of trial.  He continually stands strong by me.  He says I love you and I will always provide for you.  We read it and we hear it but until we finally experience it, there is nothing like it.  I want to live my life in a way that changes how other people choose to live.  Whether this be through preaching, coaching or whatever door God opens I want it to be all about him.  I have learned our hearts can be dangerous things, but on the other side of that danger is a refuge like none other.  King David puts its best hen he says we can take refuge under Jesus’ wings.  He is speaking of the robe or tallit  that Jesus wore and when we are in times of need Jesus would cover us in those time.  This is how I feel right now in my life.  As many opportunities begin to show themselves and my anxiety rises, I can feel Jesus covering me in his embrace and warming my heart in line with his.  Thank you for always chasing after me and keeping your hand on my life.  I will continue to honor you and worship you with all My Heart, My Soul and My Might! Amen!!

A Christmas Call Home

This December has been very diffcult for families.  There were five people within these last few days from people I know personally whose loved ones have been called home to the Lord.  Now for us we grieve and are hurt, missing the presensce of those close to us. However in God’s timing and in those who are with him realize they are in eternity with Christ. We must pray for those who are left behind as their hearts are broken. Our God is more than enough and my prayers and love go out to all who have lost someone and the Holiday times bring back those memories. Cherish those moments and know that we will all rejoice with our loved ones one day when Jesus calls us Home.. Christ is Love and Mercy and Grace… Let Jesus comfort us!! AMEN!
