Your Will, no longer my pride!

The guilt I carry is something I have created to keep me in a circular routine away from accepting God’s love for me.  I live my life in a way that keeps me safe from being hurt or at least I think it does.  I keep away from doing fully what God wants and in turn I keep away from receiving all he has to give.  There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, and this is a statement of truth as it is the word of God the Father.  I want to fully accept the law of the Spirit and change how I live my life.  The book of Romans, as I tell people, is a book written to believers about being slaves to sin.  The sad part about my life is that I have been so used to being a slave that I can’t see what God places before me.  When we see ourselves as slaves its hard to accept that we are adopted into God’s family.  The thing about adoption in the Jewish culture is that once you are adopted you cannot be disowned.  This is the purpose of Christ allowing us to know we have been adopted into his family.  I am loved by God and he wants to do all he can to show me his love.  I have known Jesus for quite sometime, but have constantly felt trapped on a fence between his will and my control.  I have come to understand that I have no control and my life is his.  I choose now to stop being selfish and to serve him as he sees fit.  I will no longer live in comfort of my doing but will choose to live in the radical shadow of Christ Jesus.  I pray and hope that my decision will be pleasing to God and that he will help me in being committed to a new way of life.  I want a life that glorifies him in all that I do from when I wake up in the morning to when I close my eyes to sleep at night.

Obey!

+++++Life is precious because we have such little time here on Earth to share the good news of Jesus. Yes he holds us to our promises and disciplines us through conviction, but He also frees us from being slaves, slaves to sin and to this world. Take up your cross and your Royal oath as a co-heir to the throne of Heaven. We must choose to obey our Adonai for it is through our walk with Christ that others will experience their acceptance into the Kingdom of Heaven!   Baruch Atah Adonai!

our testimony

+++++ We have been taught for so many years in church about what it means to give our testimony. I think we have missed the mark on this one. I have seen so many people get up and tell people in detail of where they have been and how God brought them out of there. Now don’t get me wrong I do think there is a time and place for details, however I believe Christ has a different aspect of giving our testimony in mind. You see I believe our testimony is where we are at and not where we have been. Most people just need to know the person they are talking to is broken like them. Loving Jesus and living by faith is not a crutch like some would like us to believe, rather it is our foundation, the Rock of Christ is what we stand on. When it is our time to give our testimony, we must let people know we have been to rock bottom and to places we did not want to go. Regardless of the struggle or sin there shouldn’t be a judgement of what is worse and what is not so bad. For each of us our sin or struggle is a big deal.  There will be times where detailed testimony is necessary, but that is up to the Holy Spirit and should be handled with prayer and righteous discretion. That’s why we must go to where Jesus goes and that is to the heart. All of our hearts are broken the same way through pain, shame and fear and if we can allow the Holy Spirit to use us to make someone feel safe to open up and talk then so be it. Our testimony is how Christ lives through us and without preaching or pointing fingers people will want what they see you have. A mighty and gracious Lord who does not have an issue with our sins. He has compassion and mercy for His Beloved! Amen and Amen
