Our Afflictions!

As I spent time with God this morning, I realized there are so many lessons for us to learn during this time. If you take time to look back on your life how many afflictions can you count or even remember. I believe in each of our lives we are confronted with those things that come to steal our joy, our victories and even our breath. In this world, as His beloved we can experience these physically, emotionally and spiritually. What is an Affliction? anything that causes pain or suffering. This can be from a wound to an emotional scar. A memory that attacks the pureness of your soul.

This disease is a reminder of what the Evil one desires for us. To be in isolation and away from our loved ones. To create fear and hysteria to the point where believers turn to their afflictions. A lot of time that is the truth we hold onto because it is in the pain or hysteria we can feel. However, Christ showed us by example how to be isolated. His most intimate times came when it was just Him and God. You see our afflictions push us to handle things our way. That knee jerk reaction or that numbing action that we choose to get away from reality. God says come to me and spend time with me and TRUST in me. He does not say we will go without battles but rather he will be with us in those battles. We will not face anything alone.

My friends, God has seen each of our afflictions, He knows every detail, yet He refuses to turn us over to the enemy. He wants you to give him those things that cause your pain and suffering, your doubts and fears. He is and will always be a place of Refuge, but He is also a Fortress. He will FIGHT for you with all of who He is because you are His Beloved. TRUST HIM and allow Him to give you peace in these uncharted times of this World. Remember, He, who is in you, is greater than he who is in this World!!!

Amen!!

One Love, One king, All Christ!

To Live in Fear or Faith

Our everyday has been stripped from us
by a pestilence that has no prejudice
The darkness is all we can seem to discuss
It has become the World’s emphasis

Fear is the first feeling we turn to
When we realized this plague is real
As if it planned this worldly coup
Then we remembered to simply kneel

God’s promise is with us He shall be
In the depth and strength of the storm
There will be pain and death we shall see
As we watch our World transform

However, there is freedom in this shadow
Even though our fate seems so deathly grim
Just as true as His promise in the rainbow
God says of you, I will rescue, protect and deliver him

The World has nowhere else to turn
Rather It is God in Heaven that we need
We are of his utmost loving concern
All He asks of us is Faith of a mustard seed

When fear attacks remember God protects
It desires for us to be completely crushed
For His Beloved, however He Never rejects
We say, “He is my refuge and my Fortress, my God, in whom I trust!”

One Love, One King All Christ

When you make God Silent!

We all know life is like a roller coaster, not the kiddie one that goes in a circle, but the one that leaves you breathless, even though you claim to be fearless! Yeah That One!! Life seems to never have a lull and is constantly in attack mode. In my life, the only times that life has been able to slow down was when I was close to Jesus. Those are the happiest times of my life and I believe most people would agree to that if they know Jesus too! The funny thing is I have allowed the busyness of life, for a second time, take my joy of the Lord away from me. I would have never thought that I could feel so far away that I did ‘t want to pursue Him. Then you believe you keep Him in the loop of what you want to do because that is the right thing to do right, like ” Hey, Jesus this is what I am going to do, so come on!” WHOA!! I can’t believe that I would speak to Him in that way. Then you look around and see that He is in everything that you have done, waiting for you to be reminded who your true first Love is.

In the battle of life, the one where we search for what life is about and what our purpose is, God will reveal it to you. Sometimes He does it in a subtle way to see if you can catch on and then other times he just throws it in your face. Why is it that I choose to live my way? I mean God is sitting around in every aspect of my life and then I realized something. You see I truly believe in compassion without compromise, you feel for those who are lost and share with them without condemning them. Then I realized I have not shown myself any compassion but I have compromised who God has created me to be. You see it more and more when you look at your actions and ask would I do this in the presence of Christ? AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Heck NO!! Then tighten up and be discipline.

If I expect my wrestlers to to commit to being champions through sacrifice and hard work then I need to show by example of how to be a Man of God, a Champion of Christ in front of them. Be different, do not go with the flow and I believe there is a lot of what I do that shows signs of this, but as far as sharing who Jesus is to me with those around me, I have dropped the ball big time!!! I feel like I have been yelling fumble for the last 3 years. Now the beauty of knowing Christ is that he holds nothing against us, so these feelings of inadequacy only come from myself and the evil one. Jesus says that he has come to give us life in abundance in John 10:10. In the moment of accepting him into my life, I was covered by his robe and welcomed into his family where He calls me Beloved Son! I know what it feels like to live as His Beloved and my hope is to choose to NOT make God silent anymore! Let him Mold me and trust that he will protect as he says he will in Psalms 91! Amen! I pray that you hear the sweet silent whisper of Christ in your life and LISTEN to it! As they saying goes, Man plans, God laughs! We do not know what is best but if we take the time to sit with him, then we will!

One Love, One King, All Christ!
