Amazing Mighty Never Failing God
As I read through these beautiful songs in Psalms my heart is caressed by the tenderness and boldness of the words. God is such a mighty and powerful God, who will sustain his will on those who are against us, however he still is able to embrace us and those who are against us as Father. He can be so overwhelming with his love that we do not recognize what is in store in the big picture in life. We simply Trust and though I say simply I understand that there is nothing simple about it. As we draw closer to Christ and to following the appointment he has set for us the heat is turned up on our walk. The stumbling blocks and obstacles become bigger and much more personal and painful to deal with. However, this is the opportunity where God says trust me in this storm. His love for us is never failing, through all the ups and downs of this world his love never fails. This is the only time you can use the word never and really mean it. Christ will never turn his back, though we will hear so many lies that tell us he is so far from us or that we are not good enough, its all a lie. His desire is for all of his children to come to him in love and obedience and if we are able to maintain that relationship with him, then the intimacy we desire with him begins to develop. I want to hear that still and oh so silent whisper on my heart from the Holy Spirit, telling which doors are open and which are closed, but most importantly who and what I need to pray for. You see in Ecclesiastes God reminds us that every vow we make to him, we will have to fulfill that vow. Now, when you think about the vows you have made they can become quite overwhelming, but God also promises to be with us through our journey. Therefore, hold true to your vows as will I. I have prayed to carry burdens other cannot carry, I have prayed to stand in the gap for those whose pain seems to much, I have prayed to see the hearts of the broken so that I may in turn pray for them and ultimately I will place their lives and hearts before mine… Those who are for me and against and then and only then will I truly be living as Christ lived and loved. Amen…
