Amazing Mighty Never Failing God

As I read through these beautiful songs in Psalms my heart is caressed by the tenderness and boldness of the words.  God is such a mighty and powerful God, who will sustain his will on those who are against us, however he still is able to embrace us and those who are against us as Father.  He can be so overwhelming with his love that we do not recognize what is in store in the big picture in life.  We simply Trust and though I say simply I understand that there is nothing simple about it.  As we draw closer to Christ and to following the appointment he has set for us the heat is turned up on our walk.  The stumbling blocks and obstacles become bigger and much more personal and painful to deal with.  However, this is the opportunity where God says trust me in this storm.  His love for us is never failing, through all the ups and downs of this world his love never fails.  This is the only time you can use the word never and really mean it.  Christ will never turn his back, though we will hear so many lies that tell us he is so far from us or that we are not good enough, its all a lie.  His desire is for all of his children to come to him in love and obedience and if we are able to maintain that relationship with him, then the intimacy we desire with  him begins to develop.  I want to hear that still and oh so silent whisper on my heart from the Holy Spirit, telling which doors are open and which are closed, but most importantly who and what I need to pray for.  You see in Ecclesiastes God reminds us that every vow we make to him, we will have to fulfill that vow.  Now, when you think about the vows you have made they can become quite overwhelming, but God also promises to be with us through our journey.  Therefore, hold true to your vows as will I.  I have prayed to carry burdens other cannot carry, I have prayed to stand in the gap for those whose pain seems to much, I have prayed to see the hearts of the broken so that I may in turn pray for them and ultimately I will place their lives and hearts before mine… Those who are for me and against and then and only then will I truly be living as Christ lived and loved.  Amen…

Consider it Pure Joy

I am coming to the understanding that we must stay rooted in Christ.  Now we all know that life already throws its curve balls at you.  However, one of the things I am learning is that there are people who have no other intentions other than to hurt you or make you miserable.  These also are trials as people persecute you or lie about you.  These things are going to happen wherever you are because Christ is in you.  Their hearts are hardened and the wickedness that comes from their mouths is designed to make you explode.  The devil knows how to poke you and what better way than to show it by reacting the way that person wants you to react.  I know I am in a losing battle because I am in the front-line fires of this World, but after reading the book of James and Christ allowing me to know that I should consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds.  This allows me to know that God’s hand is on my life and heart.  I will not waiver how I care for all the people in my life and will continue to be myself.  The truth of Christ is knowing that life isn’t always pretty and when people see you are complete and realize they are missing that, they want to see it taken away.  I have forgiven those who have hurt me and left them into the hands of my savior.  I trust he will protect me through whatever fire may come.  I have made a promise to myself to let God carry me through these times as I am walking blindly forward and keeping my eyes focused on him.  I pray that I will continue to become more and more aware of his voice and that he will continue to use me to bring the smiles and laughter as well as the wisdom to all those I care about.  There is a piece of the hurt that stays on your heart and that also is something new for me, because in my past I would have run and tried to numb it through familiar sin, but I am no longer feeding the monster of my flesh, I am feeding the LION of JUDAH!  Thank you Lord for teaching me how to persevere through these trials of character and personal attack.  Thank you for protecting me through the web of lies that have been spread.  I will trust you with all of my heart and regardless of how I feel will stay obedient to your call on my life.  Also, let me take these few moments to thank all of my friends who have been praying for me through these trials.  Though this world is a fire,  the white hot fire of God swallows it with no effort.  His love is true and he provides everything you need.  Thank you Papa! Amen!

THANKSGIVING

Our God is a God who provides… Jehovah Jirah… today is a day that we give thanks to how he has provided for us.  Through the blessings and the trials, through the whispers and the warnings.  Our God sent his son so that we may inherit not only eternal life, but the Holy Spirit as well.  We need to be thankful to our God who allows us every breath we take and every thought to submit to him.  He watches over us and even in the bad times, the times we choose not to follow him, because he loves us we are many times covered by his angels wings.  He is our refuge a place where we can run to and know that we are safe.  I am thankful for a God that is the Only God and proves himself loyal, loving and faithful in us.  He is the Alpha and Omega, yet He loved us so much he chose to become one of us and then reap the entirety of all of our evil so that we could live knowing we are free in Him.  Praise to Jesus our Lord and wonderful Savior, who as our King knows our every desire and will carry us through all our trials and when necessary will carry a burden that is sometimes to heavy for us to carry alone.. JEHOVAH JIRAH!!!  AMEN!
