THE CALL OF THE TRUMPETER

THE CALL OF THE TRUMPETER

The Trumpeter stands at the front of the line
His sound can bring down the most massive of walls
He can also make a weakened army realign
And charge forward again and again to his trumpet’s calls

His trumpet is small but the sound is strong
The melodies created bring forth feelings of celebration
He was called to be a part of many a famous song
Which brought many souls to a rhythmic elation

This man was considered the best in his profession
But for this man, he put being considered a man of God first
Serving and helping people was his true obsession
and for those who know, he never wanted anyone to thirst

He has a soul that God molded to be caring and humble
When he wanted to learn something he dove in all the way
The loss of him here on Earth will make many of us crumble
Relying on God as we grieve and asking God to meet us as we pray

There was an authentic warmth that came from his heart
Whether it was a “Hey Bud” or the “All right, Peace brother!”
It is because of this warmth it is so hard to see him depart
How he lived for Christ, is how we should be for each other

Many will miss you, especially your children and your wife
And as we look up to the sky so blue and so big
Many will cherish memories made with you in their life
However, We know Jesus has called you up for the Ultimate gig

YOU WILL BE MISSED MY BROTHER!!
Love ya, ANT

One Love, One King, All Christ

My Friend, My Champion, My Savior, My King

When I first met you I felt compassion
This warmth that embraced my soul
There I was with this new focus and passion
And for first time, what I was missing filled the hole

My Friend!

I learned that you did not just die for me
but you championed and defeated death
Taking my place on the cross and setting me free
For the World did not know that wasn’t your last breath

My Champion!

The choice you made to take on all our sin
Is a perfect love that we truly cannot comprehend
You took our loss to give us the win
But in the end the true victory came with your heavenly ascend

My Savior!

I surrender to your power and might
seeking refuge and comfort beneath your wing
O how grateful I am for your guiding light
You, Jesus, My Friend, My Champion, My Savior, My King!

One Love, One King, All Christ!

Love Abounds

Love Abounds

There is no better time than to start now
Let us not wait until the trumpet sounds
For we know every tongue will confess and every knee will bow
And with this truth our love abounds

Let go of your thoughts and trust with your heart
Those whispers of lies come from the darkest backgrounds
When left listening to those lies we are ripped apart
But turning to Christ in us our love abounds

Grace and Peace, we should desire these both
As our lives transform there is this rumbling on the grounds
This rumbling shakes us clean and begins a new growth
Oh, how with Grace and Peace our love abounds

I am because of the Great I AM
In the end, through adoption I am crowned
My protection is complete by Christ the Lion and the Lamb
And as we surrender our love shall abound

The more I choose to give God praise
The more I know I am no longer lost but found
We can truly play in our Father’s gaze
Knowing the more I serve the more my love shall abound
