Jesus In Everyone

Where does your day begin?
In a bed or on a bench
We are all crippled by sin
And carry a worldly stench

We walk by our siblings day after day
Our second looks are rarely in admiration
We walk alone as if we are a castaway
Just passing by all of his beautiful creations

Jesus is inside of everyone
Young, Old, Rich, and Poor
He can Never be outdone
He resides at our hearts core

Please! Look past how I am dressed
Or even that I am completely different than you
Jesus suffered for me so I am blessed
I promise I am someone you wish you knew

Jesus looked into a person’s soul
This gift is in all who follow Christ
This, My Friends, should be our ultimate goal
For Jesus paid with his life the ultimate price

Jesus in Everyone
What does this mean?
Well that God’s almighty and loving son
Died so we could all be made clean

Love all those who come in your path
Pray even for the ones who curse you
People who do not fear will feel his wrath
Forgive them for they do not have a clue

Open your eyes to all who are in need
Know in your heart God’s will be done
Even a whisper of his name and you plant a seed
Remember, Jesus in Everyone!

Battle

My thoughts are tangled
In my heart I am confused
Its hard to breathe like being strangled
My soul feels beaten and abused

This is because of my choice
To live my life my way
Rarely listening to that inner voice
The one that talks to me when I pray

I want what feels good
This is what my flesh desires
It must be that I have misunderstood
What indeed following Christ requires

I have been asked to find my Holy Must
The reason for why Christ created me
It will take relying on my faith and trust
While intimately praying on bended knee

I no longer want to surrender
To the lies that are whispered in my ear
I want Jesus and all of His splendor
This heaviness I know he will make disappear

It was by the Blood of the Lamb
One’s whose life was not his own
That he chose me to be the Godly man I am
Giving me a place on His heavenly throne

human nature

How is it we are so easily lead astray
To be blind when the treasure is in our face
Since it is not our vision we choose to downplay
Feeling betrayed because we feel replaced

That is the terrible lie that is told
We could never be replaced by Christ
But yet we are so easily sold
Believing we see our own paradise

Our sinful nature leads us to an untruth
One of which we usually submit
If only we had faith like our youth
The Untruth would be revealed as counterfeit

Man is known for messing up
Constantly listening to the lie
“Feeling” worse because of a slip up
Forgetting Christ was crucified

Jesus lived life to perfection
Just so we could be saved
However it wasn’t until his resurrection
That the road to salvation was paved

The choice is ours to make
Listen to the spirit or to the lie
The lie will always bring you heartbreak
The comfort of the spirit is revealed with tears from our eye

The beauty of his love is forever
This we must begin to consider as true
For this truth begins our endeavor
Of changing our have to into want to

We are cleansed through and through
Our sins he has totally forgotten
He has and endless love for you
NEVER believe yourself to be rotten
