His Wounds!

His wounds, caused by me
His wounds, were his choice to be taken
His wounds, visible for all to see
His wounds, made him feel forsaken

His wounds, were part of the sacrifice
His wounds, allow me to be free
His wounds, is how, for me, he paid the price
His wounds, why from sin I will always flee

His wounds, bled till his body was empty
His wounds, were necessary to save us all
His wounds, will bring the world to bended knee
His wounds, the reason for Satan’s downfall

His wounds, a sign that I win
His wounds, gave me the ultimate choice
His wounds, illustrated how Jesus defeated sin
His wounds, now give me reasons to rejoice

Good Friday, Better Sunday

We call the Friday he suffered good
When nothing good occurred
He suffered like no one ever should
All of his Holy rights deferred

Jesus hung, dying and nailed to a cross
Allowing all darkness to come and reside
From their eyes this was the ultimate loss
Even one of His strongest disciples chose to hide

He called out to His Father and said
Forgive them for they know not what they do
This was moments before His body would be dead
Moments before we would all be made new

In the end, He almost could not take any more
Pleading with God for Why has he been forsaken
With His last breathe the temple curtain tore
He was indeed the Messiah this could not be mistaken

On the Sunday which was the third day
Jesus had risen and know he cannot die again
He was the Messiah, so dead he could not stay
This new covenant means the Lion of Judah will reign

Oh what a happy and better day Sunday was
For my cross I will never have to bare
The feeling of Satan’s unclenching claws
Causes me to surrender as I say the Lord’s Prayer.

Amen.

A Mother’s Love

There is no other love like it on Earth
To love no matter what has been done
Every mom gets it when she experiences childbirth
An unconditional love for her daughter or son

She loves to tell everyone about you
How proud she is of all you have done
Every story told from a mother’s view
Is like from a great race she has just won

She is always your biggest fan
And of course she always knows best
No matter your dilemma she has a plan
Reminding you she is your mom and for that you are blessed

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY:
To all Moms, you are truly amazing in all you do and everyday should be a day that you hear, feel, see and receive Love from your children. AMEN and AMEN!
