Character is What God knows about you!

We live everyday following routines and trying to impress this person or that person. Thriving and hoping to make something happen in our life. The truth is our Character is that of a Champion because Christ created us to be winners. Though we are swayed by the situations that come across our path there will be a day that your Character will be confronted. If we continually make efforts to improve our situations but only do it for what we want mankind to see, we will fail and fall short.  It is not until we are humbled by our King at whatever time in our life do we realize our Character is what matters. There is nothing any man can do to change the path God has chosen for you.  You are the only one who can make the choice between wanting your reputation to matter or your Character!  I choose Character because Christ chose me and my friends, Christ chose you too!

Even Jesus needed it!

WOW! Life can become so amazingly busy that we forget the simplest of things.  What’s crazy is that the simplest of things is what keeps us sane and protected.  I mean I have in me the Holy Spirit, who will help me and protect me through each and every moment of my life.  He will be there for my pains and my victories.  The Holy Spirit is like our own personal Ninja Bodyguard.  There is nothing on this Earth, Nor in Hell or Heaven that can defeat him.  Jesus gave us the example of how to live as a Christian, by showing us that even as the God Man he needed the Holy Spirit with him.  He showed us that our ability to defeat the Evil One comes from our faith that the Holy Spirit in us will overcome.  I know that my breakthrough is near because I so readily want to just give up or be lazy about it, but then the Holy Spirit in me reminds me that my life is not about me.  This life I have chosen to live affects others and they matter.  When I read Jesus’ story it sinks deeply into my soul that He is the only way.  Now, the coolest part is that he just didn’t leave us with and example to follow, but he gave us the Ninja Bodyguard protector (A.K.A Holy Spirit.)  The Holy Spirit is amazing in how he can comfort us, discipline us and protect us.  When I look at my life what I realize more than anything is that God’s Grace allows me  the opportunity to share His Name, but the Holy Spirit speaks through me the truth and love and healing of Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful that I have learned this now, and that trusting in My God, My Papa, My Adonai means no matter what the World throws at me I would rather fight through the pain of change, with the Holy Spirit by my side, than suffer staying where I am at now!

God knows what he is doing!

Why is it that I always think my way about situations instead of God’s way. I guess that is what makes him God.  Let me explain: Today I had an opportunity to do Chapel at a Family and Women’s Ministry Facility.  I have done this for about 9 months and usually have at least 7 to 10 women in the service.  Well my pride comes in at times and today was one of those days.  Only 2 ladies showed up and so I prayed and also texted a friend to pray for me as well.  Now I know that God has a plan, but for some reason I was about to make this about me and Jesus stopped that thought in its tracks and here is how.  I began with a prayer and started going into my sermon that was already changed by God during the previous weeks events.  Well as I start into my deal and talking about cherished moments, I started to discuss the loss of a beautiful young girl named Kaely Camacho.  Whose life was taken by a drunk driver.  I shared with the 2 ladies how I saw how Kaely was a Moment Maker, she didn’t wait for cherished moments to happen, rather she made every moment with her an opportunity to be cherished.  I then begin to share the scripture from John 10:10 and one of the ladies stops me and is crying.  She is at the facility because of drinking and she mentioned how many times she has been behind the wheel like that.  It was at that moment that I realized God set this appointment for this Sunday.  We stayed in the scripture and the truth of God and the more I spoke the more I realized the Holy Spirit was there for this woman today.  The even more amazing thing was the last scripture I had chosen to speak about, didn’t have much to do with Cherished Moments, but when I was studying something told me to add it. It was Philippians 4:6 – 7  which says “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Here is how awesome God is, the lady that was there, this was her last week, she was going back into the real world after 3 months of help.  She was so worried about what that meant for her and here was God the night before giving me this scripture to share and he already knew why!  I went on to share a poem with the 2 ladies and lifted my head after the prayer to see her crying, because she experienced what it means to be God’s Beloved.  He designed this weekend 4/22 for her.  The reason I was there was to relay this message of the Gospel to her, but also so the Holy Spirit could show her he is there for her.  Talk about a miracle, God used me today to be apart of one.  As we walked out, the same 2 ladies were headed to the Spanish service.  We had a chance to talk about that and it turns out the lady who does the Spanish service is someone who has been lifted by Christ out of abuse, prostitution, drinking and drugs and now shares the light of Christ with others.  God not only knows what he is doing but he Provides for us exactly what we NEED!!  I LOVE YOU, JESUS!!
