Mold All(Emotions Too!) Of ME, Jesus in your Potter’s Hands

I have been taught for a long time that emotions are dangerous and avoid how you feel.  Well I have done this in my life and missed out on so many opportunities to experience God.  The truth is we are supposed to feel and have emotions, but in relation to Jesus.  Giving him our hearts and burdens is part of it, but giving him the emotions that are attached to those things is most important.  I heard it best this morning, in we truly cannot be Holy unless we approach Jesus Whole.  I have dealt with the symptoms of my brokenness long enough, it is time to let Jesus deal with my brokenness.  Holding onto the lies when Jesus continually says he loves you makes no sense.  Finally I have heard God’s voice saying let go of those lies and since you believe in me, Then, ANTHONY, believe in me.  I sit here thinking I will Follow after Christ, but I will keep my foot in the back door, just in case, you know, I might need to run back to my brokenness.  Jesus’ response is simple, I have allowed you this posture long enough, I will cut off your foot, so that we can move on.  Our feelings have a lot to do with our choices, but we must separate our human discernment of what those feeling are saying and allow the Holy Spirit to give us His discernment.  When we allow God to divinely intervene, Our Actions Shine the Jesus in us.  Feel your emotions, but through the filter of Christ Jesus, Our Papa.

One Love, One King, All Christ!

Where is the next turn?

You know it seems crazy as we live life, how we think we have things planned out.  We take our time to say when we will do this or that and set this plan.  However, God has a plan for us and no matter what we do, when we have Christ, we will end up back on his plan.  I know we have free will, but there is this crazy thing called conviction that just doesn’t let us Christ Followers stay away from God for too long.  Now the question I want to ask is Lord when is the next turn.  Where are you taking me and when I am going to get there.  I, like many humans, am impatient and want to know.  God, on the other hand, wants us to get to know him.  There is no better way to get to know God than to wait on him.  During that time we read about him, pray to him and submit our feelings to him.  Jesus is amazing in that he will not let us down and he will endure our burdens and pains with us, because he already did it for us. I am hoping my next turn is one to the promise land, I have turned away from the darkness.  It’s scary to think how many of us believe we can see in the dark when we are over there, then to realize when the smallest of light exposes the darkness, we are shocked.  You see this life is for us to live for him and in that he will take care of us, our family and our friends.  Each of us are his Beloved and he knows exactly the route we need to take to fulfill his call in our lives.  We simply, LOL, and I laugh because it is never simple, must allow and trust him to guide us.  I pray that you all will wait for the next turn and while waiting spend quality time with Jesus.  Don’t just give him your problems and praises, but give him your emotions as well.  You are worth more than Heaven’s Gold to him.

One Love, One King, All Christ!

No More Stealing My Joy

There will be no more stealing my joy
You cannot have the gift that I have received
You have attempted to take it from me since I was a boy
No longer will your tricks and lies be believed

Many days locked in solitude and quiet
Thinking I had no where to go
My thoughts erupting like a violent riot
None of this seems so long ago

Here is Jesus to say once again to me
You are my son, my friend and my love
Your debt has been paid, your Joy is free
This truth given from Heaven above

These burdens and my past have been overcome
Jesus chose to set me free from these chains
My worth is more than Heaven’s Gold, I am not scum
For my Redeemer, My God, My Savior Forever Reigns
