Bold as a Lion!
I have been thinking about the men and women of the bible, the ones who God appointed to do his will. As I learn about their lives and their choices. It is apparent that every last one of them has something they struggle with heavily. Moses stuttered and was fearful, King David was a murderer and adulterer, Elisha went into deep depression (usually after serving the Lord). However, each of them served God as Bold as a Lion, when the time came for them to do as he put it on their heart, it was done. It gives me comfort to know that life isn’t supposed to be easy just because we believe in Jesus, rather it will be a life where we must stand Boldly through the pain, loss, grief and victories. It is having the courage to know that Jesus gives us the courage and even more so that once we choose to follow him, he puts us right where we need to be. A question a friend recently asked was” Would you do high school over?” Now I have thought about those years a lot and I did enjoy my high school years very much even though the thought of going back is tempting because of hindsight being 20/20, I would not. You see the life we live in is reality and in this reality we must make the most of the opportunities that are presented to us. I can not tell you how many regrets I should have, but as of the last few years I have decided to take chances and trust that God is a part of what is going on. When we make these decisions in our lives, even ones that affect others we must be as Bold as a Lion regardless of our fears, because that is what God calls his righteous ones. There is no need for us to run, because in all honestly, in most cases we are running from our self and there is no one pursuing. It is time my friends that we, me and you, face our fears with God as our Shield and our Sword. It is through his sacrifice and his Kingship that we are his Beloved. As you spend time with God ask him to give you the Boldness of a Lion, a beast that shows no fear when it chooses to conquer a task or a land. We, my friends, have no reason to flee because our Savior says he is with us. What more do we need to be as Bold as a Lion. One Love, One King, All Christ!
