Bold as a Lion!

I have been thinking about the men and women of the bible, the ones who God appointed to do his will.  As I learn about their lives and their choices.  It is apparent that every last one of them has something they struggle with heavily.  Moses stuttered and was fearful, King David was a murderer and adulterer, Elisha went into deep depression (usually after serving the Lord). However, each of them served God as Bold as a Lion, when the time came for them to do as he put it on their heart, it was done.  It gives me comfort to know that life isn’t supposed to be easy just because we believe in Jesus, rather it will be a life where we must stand Boldly through the pain, loss, grief and victories.  It is having the courage to know that Jesus gives us the courage and even more so that once we choose to follow him, he puts us right where we need to be.  A question a friend recently asked was” Would you do high school over?” Now I have thought about those years a lot and I did enjoy my high school years very much even though the thought of going back is tempting because of hindsight being 20/20, I would not.  You see the life we live in is reality and in this reality we must make the most of the opportunities that are presented to us.  I can not tell you how many regrets I should have, but as of the last few years I have decided to take chances and trust that God is a part of what is going on.  When we make these decisions in our lives, even ones that affect others we must be as Bold as a Lion regardless of our fears, because that is what God calls his righteous ones.  There is no need for us to run, because in all honestly, in most cases we are running from our self and there is no one pursuing.  It is time my friends that we, me and you, face our fears with God as our Shield and our Sword. It is through his sacrifice and his Kingship that we are his Beloved.  As you spend time with God ask him to give you the Boldness of a Lion, a beast that shows no fear when it chooses to conquer a task or a land.  We, my friends, have no reason to flee because our Savior says he is with us.  What more do we need to be as Bold as a Lion. One Love, One King, All Christ!

Making Changes!

Well its about one week since my time with God and I can say changing is happening but oh so slowly.  It seems like I want to fight this change but I know the significance God has made in telling me to make these changes.  My future is what is at stake, I do not want to bring secrets into any relationships, those that are current and for my future relationships with friends and future wife and children.  These changes are important to God and to me because I realize in these moves I become more intimate with him and more open to serve him.  I want my life to be an example for others who say I cannot do this, to look at my life and say WOW, if Ant can do it I can do it!!!  I want these changes to be visible in my everyday life.  I pray that Christ will continually shine through me in everything I do.  I am thankful for a soft heart and for the many people in my life who have taught me so well to give others second chances and more.  People who remind me that if I didn’t get these opportunities to change in my life I wouldn’t be the man of God I am today.  It has been through forgiveness and mercy and love that I have made it.  It is in these moments that I need to remember how God has influenced me and how he has placed the “RIGHT” people in my life.  This path and these changes are God appointed and they are happening as he has timed for it to happen, so though these changes are happening slowly, they are happening perfectly. One Love, One King, All Christ!

Happy Father’s Day, God!

When I look at my life as many of us do.  I think of all the opportunities that I have had and choices I have made.  I think how many times I did not listen to my parents because I thought I knew better and then it turned out I was wrong, go figure.  Well, when it comes to God, I can think of the many hundreds, if not thousands of times I have given God the same treatment.  I am so thankful that God is the father in the story of the prodigal son, because it is in that story that we realize he takes us just as we are.  We do not have to go through life worried about how we live, but rather how we live for Him.  We will make mistakes, as he knows, and sometimes we will knowingly choose to sin, but even through all that Jesus sees us as blameless and pure.  We are supposed to honor him everyday and in every moment, but I do want to take this day, Father’s Day, and thank him for allowing me to be me.  I am thankful for a Father who created me to be just as I am, but more so a Father who gave the ultimate sacrifice that I, His Adopted Beloved Son, may spend eternity with him.  Please don’t forget he did it for you, too! One Love, One King, All Christ!
