My dear friend, which I could also call my little brother was shot last night trying to help someone who was being robbed. Now, in his life he has always worked out and been in tremendous, if not ridiculous shape. When I think of God’s big picture which is the stuff we don’t understand, it begins to make more sense to me. I learned this well with my mom. Now, my brother Brett is fighting for his life, but I want to take you through the Journey the Holy Spirit is taking me through right now as I am in prayer without ceasing for him and his family. The moment he was shot, twice, there was a lady who immediately ran to him and started to pray over him. The paramedics were the exact team that needed to pick him up and know that it was a serious life threatening main artery type of wound. God protected his heart and blood flow enough to make it to the hospital where surgeons, including the vascular surgeon, were ready to work. The blood bank sent over all the blood they had, by which he needed 70 bags. God had his healing and guiding hand in all of this. The right people, the right timing, then came the prayer. I can tell you by my own account their are hundreds if not thousands praying for Brett as we speak, prayer warriors, praying for the Holy Spirit in them to connect with Brett as Jesus sits with him. They were able to clamp off the aorta artery and in the 5 hours of surgery and making it through the night, Brett became a part of the 1% of people who survive the operation. Yes, he is in incredible shape, and I believe God played a huge part in him being in this type of shape and being the fighter that he is, for this day and prayerfully many more. God continues to bring him through moments, that Doctors find hard to explain. Well for us it is not hard to explain, it is our Papa laying his healing hands on Brett, knowing he has a beautiful wife and kids, family and many many friends who love him. I understand that from the doctors he is not “out of the woods” as they put it, but God is working moment by moment and I can only have faith and leave my Little Brother in Jesus’ hands. Please stay in prayer, on your knees, in your bed, while you drive. Pray, Pray, Pray my friends for we are seeing miracles in each moment of Brett’s recovery.
One Love, One King, All Christ!
