Intimate Encounter

Intimate Encounter

I have longed to sit with You
Knowing It’s been me missing those moments
The Holy Spirit pressing as I feel anew
Wanting to flee from that weight of Condolence

We have had many of these encounters
Where it has just been you and me
As I battle the Identity of a doubter
It is your Love and Grace that has set me free

Oh how I hate letting life win
The busyness of my days masks me
The heaviness and burden of my sin
Should be the reason from it I flee

I will turn to the Cross and obey
Being disciplined is required to heal my soul
Your intimate embrace tightens as I pray
In these moments Is when I truly feel whole

I surrender all of my stress and worries
Submitting to my King and turning to my friend
The truth is you know all of my stories
The one True God Chose me in the end

Oh this intimate encounter is much needed
As we walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death
This death we know has been conceded
Our Souls are redeemed through God’s breath

Out of the Shadows

As you lean into life’s depth,
Realizing you are still in the shallows,
There is no need for a deep breath.
Your emptiness is trapped in the shadows.

Our lives keep us busy,
Missing connections with family and friend,
Trying to stay balanced while dizzy,
Looking under control, but it’s just pretend.

Each person, each season, each moment,
My beloved, your crown of life is precious.
Prayerfully, each has received His atonement.
That freedom is completely cherished.

A message arrives with bad news.
My heart desires to know:
Was Jesus chosen or refused?
That heaviness of not knowing where they will go.

Give your heart, stay on guard,
With the Holy Spirit in the lead.
By His armor, you are the vanguard,
The first to share and show you are freed.

Into The Father’s Hands

Into the Father’s hands

We know the words that were spoken
Jesus cried them out through the pain
He is the Messiah, now words that are broken
Just another on the cross Crucified with bloodstain

Jesus lived through our greatest Fear
My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me
No one could know the temple veil was about to tear
And His last breath would set us all free for eternity

He would endure all our trespasses
Every sin committed then, now and to come
I cannot imagine carrying the burden of the masses
He did it knowing that death would succumb

The prophecy showed itself to be true
It is finished, Jesus says for all to hear
The ground trembled as the soldier’s spear withdrew
Little did the Devil know that Christ would reappear

Father, into your hands, my spirit I commit
His last breath must have silenced all the lands
His earthly soul ascending because he chose to submit
All of who He is, The Christ, for us, In His Fathers Hands
