Running To!!!

I believe many of us in this life spend most of our time running away from The Lord. I know that He pursues each and everyone of us because we are created in His image. You see to God, you are the man or woman he created, He loves you even in your sin, He knows that He died for all of those and just desires to have a relationship with us. Now, don’t get it twisted it doesn’t mean that its ok to sin or to marginalize it and say well this amount of sin is ok. What it means is that sin is not an issue for Christ. He desires to be one with your soul and He wants you to experience all the promises that come with Him as our Lord and Savior.

I have run from God more than I have run to Him in all of my years of knowing He is real. Mostly, I would say I run because I want my sin and know it well. It is something I am comfortable with but on the spiritual side that means that I am comfortable with death. This is not ok because I am not and mourn my loved ones who have gone to be with Jesus. I want this death shroud with be removed from me and I want the Holy Spirit to reign supreme! How do we go about it and what are the steps.

Well, the very first step is to change our direction, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel. That means we start running to Christ in everything we do. I know that I feel good and believe I am healthy but every time I get blood work done, I get anxious and turn to and RUN TO God. Why is it I do not seek him for everything, like I would a best friend. He is our ultimate best friend as well as our King and our Savior. He is the complete package, yet most of the time we separate Him into sections that we try and figure out with our human mind and thoughts. This has been my downfall for most of my Christian walk and I want to be able to just be with HIM. I want Jesus to continue to work on my heart and soul so that I can share these words He places through my hands. I feel when the Holy Spirit is upon me and I know that if even one person is influenced by these words that is more than enough.

When we run to God it is usually in a time of fear or anxiety or loss. However, every time we run to Him in those moments, Jesus reminds us that He is there for everything. We have the Holy Spirit with us for every moment, so my friends, I am tired of allowing the Holy Spirit to be dormant in my life. I wamt Him to be burning so brightly that people will feel the warmth of God’s love when I walk past them. RUN TO HIM, FLEE FROM THE WORLD AND SIN, AND RUN TO HIM…. He is waiting with arms WIDE OPEN to accept you and love on you and repent with you, just as you are!!!

I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT! PRAISE BE!!

When we step into the world as adults many of us have experienced many types of darkness in our lives. We are not unscathed or unburdened. This world is run by an entity that has no morals, dignity or care in the world for any living thing, especially the Beloved of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. In Malachi 3 verse 6, God say… I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT! As a believer, this is a beautiful statement, because it means every promise that is made by God to us will come to pass.

Our Lord says He loves us and adores us and will walk with us through every event on our life. Every moment we have from conception to walking with Him Heaven. He is with us!! The bible says we are created in Christ’s image and we have the Holy Spirit within us to guide us and mold us into the men and women of God we were born to be. When I read that the Lord does not change that reminds me of the attitude that Jesus took to the cross. He had opportunity to change his mind and I believe His Father in heaven would have understood, but Jesus chose not to change what was to be done. He chose not to change because of YOU and ME!!! He loves us and when we see it from the outside we want it, but when we experience from within our first reaction to to run from it.

Many of us grow up struggling with believing we deserve to be loved and cared for. So, when this amazing love comes upon us our brokenness screams for us to run, too flee. Our soul knows what it desires and when we feed it what God gives us, there is a light that shines and that light forces darkness to flee and allows our souls to feel the embrace of the Holy Spirit. All the while, we are caring, praying and being there for one another.

In a time of loss it has been awesome to see the love and support my friend and her children are getting with the tragic loss of her husband and their father. When we see the family of Christians come together for another brother or sister in Christ shows us what God means when He says “I change Not!” I would give praises to my Lord and Savior Jesus for His constant pursuit of us, I will praise the Holy Spirit for embracing us and taking our tears and I will praise God the Father for making us, and for the lives of others he has divinely intertwined into ours by His love. Remember my friends, Jesus Loves you so much and with that love he has for you, you just have to come as you are and He will take you in!!!

Selah!!

THE CALL OF THE TRUMPETER

THE CALL OF THE TRUMPETER

The Trumpeter stands at the front of the line
His sound can bring down the most massive of walls
He can also make a weakened army realign
And charge forward again and again to his trumpet’s calls

His trumpet is small but the sound is strong
The melodies created bring forth feelings of celebration
He was called to be a part of many a famous song
Which brought many souls to a rhythmic elation

This man was considered the best in his profession
But for this man, he put being considered a man of God first
Serving and helping people was his true obsession
and for those who know, he never wanted anyone to thirst

He has a soul that God molded to be caring and humble
When he wanted to learn something he dove in all the way
The loss of him here on Earth will make many of us crumble
Relying on God as we grieve and asking God to meet us as we pray

There was an authentic warmth that came from his heart
Whether it was a “Hey Bud” or the “All right, Peace brother!”
It is because of this warmth it is so hard to see him depart
How he lived for Christ, is how we should be for each other

Many will miss you, especially your children and your wife
And as we look up to the sky so blue and so big
Many will cherish memories made with you in their life
However, We know Jesus has called you up for the Ultimate gig

YOU WILL BE MISSED MY BROTHER!!
Love ya, ANT
